Told to collect repaired phone when it's not fixed

Telecommunications

I went with my girlfriend to Vodaworld on the 13th of January 2014 to take in her Samsung S4, as her battery swell up after less than 3 months of use. We were forced to leave the phone at vodaworld because the battery can't be replaced without performing some sort of firmware update. We were told that the process won't take more than 90 minutes and that we could wait for the phone, we landed up waiting for 3 hours (till vodaworld closed for the day), and the phone was still not ready due to the firmware update failing. So, the gentleman at vodaworld took my number (as my girlfriend is now without a cellphone), and told me that he would call me the moment the firmware was updated and the new battery was available. To my surprise, I received a phone call from the technician at vodaworld at 9:30am on the 14th of January 2014 saying that the phone was ready for collection. I went to collect my girlfriend's phone for her because she is already back at work. I arrived at vodaworld at about 12:45pm, waited in the queue to collect my phone, waited an additional 30min while customers behind me in the queue were receiving their phones to eventually be told that the phone is still not ready
