Hours on hold and then cut off and no resolution

I called in to try sort out my internet connection and after 30 min waiting on hold I was assisted but the lady I spoke to after an additional hour could not fix my problem and said she would have to put me through to the internet division on which they cut me off. So I had to phone in again and this time had to wait 35 min in the ques then a different lady after I explained what happened and went through the same steps which totaled another hour and she to could not sort out the problem and said she was going to transfer me to another division and i told her that last time I got cut off doing that - but she said I have to go the that division and lo and behold i was cut off again. so had no choice but to call in again I have been on the phone 50 min now and still no response.
I could not hold on any longer as this already cost me 3 hours 50 minutes and I have to work and having my network is also part of my business.
