I requested to cap my 3G on 2GB via email because my account showed that I need to pay another R500 because of extra data used via my 3G. I was sure I capped the account when I applied for my 3G account but sent an email to confirm. The response I got was that my account has already been capped at 2 GB but this service is not guaranteed. I then requested itemised billing and since the 17th of November till the 30th of November no one at Nashua mobile capped my account or even tried to do so.

I can understand that my account could run over the 2GB mark but how is it possible to go to 4.97GB over and above the 2GB when a company tells you that they can cap an account. I can still understand if it goes over the 2GB mark over a weekend but surely they would have noticed it in a normal weekday unless the whole of Nashua mobile went on leave from the 17th of November till the 30th of November.

If Nashua mobile promote a service that can fail so horribly and then expect a customer to be happy with an answer that says that it is not guaranteed is unacceptable. How can a capped account run up to a 7GB mark without the service provider noticing it?? Please help me understand.
