Account suspended for no reason and no service rep

Saturday morning early my service was suspended by MTN. I was on a topup 100 contract that finished in November, leaving my sim as a normal prepaid account. I had an airtime balance of close to R100 left on my phone. At 6 am I was still able to send text.By 8 am I was no longer able to text, dial out or anything. When i checked my airtime balance I received the following message: "Supplementary service error: Call barred." When i dialed 173 a recording told me my service had been suspended, contact your service provider. I proceeded to email them, informing them that i use my phone for business and that it is important to resolve this issue asap as I'm losing income. I received an automated response that my mail has been noted and they would contact me asap. Sunday morning I followed the link in the response I received for live chat. It's now 19:15 Sunday and still no response from MTN. If somebody was available to suspend my account Saturday morning, why is there nobody available to inform me as to why it was suspended or to fix the issue?
