Neotel not upgraded therefore my problem

I have complained about this for the past months, but still it remains my problem. I have a orange Neotel internet donegal which is apparently not windows 8 compatible. I had a laptop that needed to be replaced due to factory fault and got the new laptop which has windows 8. Now the computer does not recognize the donegal. The guy at n1 city Neotel with his smug face stands and smiles at me and says oh you must purchase the new donegal with data at a cost of R799 R499 why can't Neotel assist me with this as it's not my fault that Neotel stock is not current market compatible. I have supported Neotel for 3 years and this is what I get.
