Deduction even after contract cancelled

My 8ta contract ended on 3 October 2013 after me having to give notice on three previous occasions. I have instead taken ADSL with Telkom. Someone from Telkom Mobile phoned me to confirm that the contract was in fact terminated. Well no surprise to anyone. A deduction has just been made from my account for the amount for this closed contract. How can Telkom Mobile authorise this. I even placed a stop on the debit order at the bank but somehow the money was still from my bank account. This only amounts to. No other explanation.
