I reported my phone and requested a sim swop on Sat 26 October at 2.30pm, I was informed to go to the store and get a new sim, only to find that I had to pay R102. I requested the store to activate the sim which they did and they said it should be active within 24hrs. I then called customer services to advise a new sim was bought and also requested them to activate. It is Mon 28 Oct at 6.30pm after several calls speaking with Diteboho, Tshepiso, Sipho and 3 reference numbers the phone is still not activated. I have lost substantial business as my phone is inactive since Saturday. The reference numbers are 306322 and 306424. I was also informed that they are unable to block my phone as I do not have the IMEI number. Surely this number should be stored with my account profile details. Sipho assured me that he would monitor and ensure it is activated as I told him I am tired of calling the call centre. I will think twice of ever taking out a contract through Altech as this service is pathetic, nobody calls back, I the customer am given the run around. I was also told to contact their IT department to log a call. I want my phone activated today.
