I have an 8ta contract that started in September 2011.
About 1-2 months ago I walked in to the 8ta/Telkom mobile store in N1 city and enquired regarding procedure for the cancellation once the contract has reached its expiry. A lady there assisted me and told me to fill out paperwork with her in order for this to be done. I cannot remember the exact date and i cannot recall the person who i spoke to. I have now received a bill that notes an amount of R800 which is a "Termination Admin fee". I called 8ta call centre 081180 today to enquire regarding this fee and the person on the line Thando was of no help to say the least. The more i try and explain that the contract is expired and my reason for going to the 8ta store in N1 was to find out procedure - he is just going on and on with no help at all. I am a client and I went into the store to confirm procedure and be assisted with advice so that i can do the right things pertaining to the contract. It is 8ta's responsibility to make sure that their consultants give the correct advice and not have a client be out of pocket because no one assisted me correctly. I want 8ta to sort this out asap as I cannot afford a R800 debit orde
