In June my spouse lost their jobs, and things were going very tight. I struggled to make payments. I made an arrangement that the Cell C account will be paid in full the end of September. I however only recieved money the 1 October and made full paymentof the account 2nd October. I however paid R608 in August and R608 in September and the balance the 2 October. I sent at least 6 emails in the last 2 weeks asking cell c to tell me what the situation was with this account as the line was deactived. I recieved to emails from their customer service saying the account was with legal and I will be phoned within 48 hours. I was never contacted. When I phoned today I was told a "magical" letter of demand was sent that I NEVER recieved!! And then I was told the line was permanently deactived and I had to pay the outstanding contract balance, because I have NOT MADE ANY PAYMENTS in 3 months?? I guess August and September doesn't count then. Cell C is quick to haunt u for payments even if you made arrangements but PATHETIC when it comes to sorting out a simple query. I will most definitely not recommend cell c to ANYONE, they're promsing ADS on tv and radio are nothing but EMPTY PROMISES.
