I went to Telkom to get a contract where I was told I needed to bring my details and I would definitely get my contract approved and cellphone in an hour.

I went to the store the next day and provide my details and forms as she said. I was told to return in an hour. I went back an hour later only to be told that they are still processing the application! I was told to come back at the end of the day which I had done and to no avail. I was then told it will be done by tomorrow and someone will call me from the store as Zazi won't be in and I will be able to come pick up my phone.

I waited and after numerous failed calls to the Telkom store, I called customer services and they could not provide an alternate number. I waited till today and went to the store which is 50km away, expecting all to be done as promised by Zazi only to be told that the credit check has not gone through yet!! I have checked online and on hello peter and seen that credit checks take no more than 2hrs maximum and I have clear credit and can afford the contract. I was able to contact trans union credit check and get the whole break down of my credit in a few minutes, so why is it that they cannot?
