INCORRECT BILLING AND POOR SERVICE DELIVERY

On 23 Aug 2013 I took out a new cell phone contract at Cell C, Clearwater Mall. After a few days I realized that they were billing me incorrectly and went to the same store on 13 Sept but did not receive much help. After personally investigating I discovered that Cell C allocated me with a recycled cell phone number and that there was already several content charges linked to it prior to the date I engaged this contract. Cell C failed to disclose this information to me and to clear the cell phone number before reissuing it to me. On 16 Sept I went to Cell C store with this info but the Store Manager refused to accept responsibility for not clearing the SIM of previous content charges; and the Billing Department stated that the customer is liable for all costs incurred. Out of frustration I returned the handset & asked them to cancel the contract. The Regional Manager who was in the store at the time promised to do a follow up and get back to me before 15:00 the same day. However, they did not come back to me as promised. To date this matter has still not been sorted out and they don't give agreeable feedback. Instead my account was debited with the full amount due. This is!
