When i take out a contract for 24 months, it should run for exactly that, 24 months! Why do i need to call in and cancel when the terms of contract where stipulated when i took out the contract in the first place?

I have had contract with MTN before and there was no need for me to call after 24months, The contract automatically ended after the period! Now when i call in to find out why i am still being billed i am told that i have to advise that i want to cancel. Then why is it called a 24 month contract if it does not run for 24 months??? And why dont you warn clients of this? This is very unethical and bordering on practice.

Is it thrown in somewhere in the middle of the endless T&C's?

I want my money back and want the contract to be cancelled!
