Beyond incompetent, lazy and rude Vodacom

After going in store to upgrade my internet contract with Vodacom at the Fourways branch (paper work completed, upgrade fee payed) I decide that a want to go for a bigger internet bundle before the date of the upgrade kicks in. A relatively simple request, I thought in my utterly foolish mind. After struggling for a week to get through to the Vodacom Upgrade line (incidentally, don't bother pressing the hash key for a call back - Christmas will come twice a year before that happens) I'm told that I have to phone the store directly to make the change and that I have 2 days left to do so. I phone immediately. A woman answers the phone and after verifying my information she finds my paperwork and assures me that everything is in order and that someone there will give the final sign off and phone me the next day or the day after (because it is a public holliday tomorrow you know) to confirm that my upgrade option has been successfully changed. Off course no one phones but silly me assumes that surely there will be a record of my request and that it will be taken care of. Today I find out that not only has it NOT been done, but no one at the store knows what I'm talking about.
