SIM activation - just not happening

My new phone arrived exactly 1 week ago. The online upgrade worked quite well and the phone was delivered promptly but needed activation. A week later the SIM is still not activated so I still can't use the phone.

Logged multiple requests using the online service portal, but no one has called me back.
1 whole week - NO CALLBACK - not sure if this is some social experiment or just a joke.

Two of my requests have been closed already with a auto generated message saying "request has been completed" but my phone still can't dial out!
