I upgraded from 1meg data uncapped @ R199 to 2meg data & adsl uncapped @ R449 end of month but on the 5th I was thottled to speed less than 10 kbs. I couldn't even download email with attachment or open a web page and it would time out. On calling call centre on 4 occasions I was told different stories like its because my data usage was 10 gig on 1st of month or it was to high over 30 day period (I only used 150 gig) but no one could give same explanation with figures as what and how high data usage is determined and how I could prevent from being throttled again instead I was advised to get a more expensive package which would still be throttled only at slightly higher data usage but still no concrete figures to work from. I wanted to know when I'm getting normal service and was told only next month so I'm paying for 2 meg uncapped for 5 days of the month. I'm currently not using my mweb account but bought prepaid data in order to get a Internet service which is an extra expense to me which mweb fails to provide. Please people don't make the mistake I have. I have since requested to migrate back to telkom and also 2meg uncapped downgrade 1gig data until good riddance.
