Cell C: Totally Incompetent or Maliciously Greedy?

I bought a Cell C 2gig contract 2 years ago and when the contract time ended I bought another 12 months. I paid for all this in cash upfront. Cell C abruptly cancelled my sim card last month before the end of the contract. When I asked for this to be sorted out, they said they don't have my ID number on record. It seems that my sister, who got a similar contract at a different place and at a different time, cancelled her contract due to unhappiness with service and they proceeded to cancel my sim card (which is fully paid up) while my sister is still being billed (even after paying a cancellation fee). My surname is not a ubiquitous one and if they confuse one Mfuko for another one, I am afraid of what they do to Tshabalalas, Smiths and Naidoos. Either the people who work in billing/data management are completely incompetent or they are trying to get as much money possible (illegally?) from two contracts.

I'm up for upgrade on my cellphone contract with Vodacom and I had thought about the Galaxy S4 contract with Cell C but after this I am staying with Vodacom and when my data period ends (assuming it gets fixed) I'm moving away. This is absolutely ridiculous and bewildering.
