Our IT department sent my phone in for repairs on 17 January. MTN promised to have my phone back by Monday afternoon /Tuesday morning ("FOR THE LATEST") since we are a corporate client with preferential treatment (my). Of course its now Thursday and I have no phone (not really a surprise). I followed up and their reponse was that an sms was sent (to my phone which they have) to tell me that they cannot repair my phone until i send them proof that i have a contract with them?? I then sent the monthly statements i get from MTN to MTN to prove that i have a contract??? HOW PATHETIC. They are going to process this first, and then start to repair my phone (hopefully, unless they send another sms to ask for my phone number) @MTN - note the sarcasm - especially since your staff arent the brightest or well trained). If it werent for the company policy forcing us to have contracts with MTN, I WOULD NEVER HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH MTN AND NEITHER WOULD MANY OF MY 650 colleagues. For those who want better service, go to Vodacom (i previously had 5 contracts with them, and every repair is done asap or new phone given within max 3 days... no question asked... and phenomenal services).
