Don't care attitude from a mobile operator?

Cell C approves my contract, and delivers to me the wrong color of the cellphone after 2 weeks of waiting. After numerous attempts to get the cellphone picked up and made it known that I am willing to wait until the color i requested is made available, i was given a don't care attitude by one of the consultants that returning the phone won't remedy the situation as they will do not guarantee that i will get the color i want. having accepted that this was becoming a futile exercise, i get a surprise that my existing number (MTN) has been ported to Cell C, apparently on my request based on some recorded tapes that i haven't had the pleasure of listening to.

I have been trying to have my number ported back to MTN since this morning and I am being told that it is not possible because it is married to the contract and I will have to wait 2 months or so before porting back to MTN. As a new client to Cell C, with the appalling service that I am already experiencing, I am certain that I do not want to remain on their unreliable network permanently. I am not getting much joy from Cell C, let it be known that after 2 days as your client I want to cancel this contract.
