Invalid mtn numbe

I happened to be on PAYG in december/ january as i am always out of the country. The number MTN gave me begins with 060... When i went to the banks to update my details the computers at the bank declined, the number as invalid. I quickly went to MTN service provider at East Rand mall to quiery the number. I was reassured that this is the valid number. I could not receive overseas calls from this number, only text messages which was very much inconveniencing.
I travelled back overseas, i decided to check the website for PAYG roaming facility. I got the number 0118089000, when i rang the number, it required my mobile number. When i entered the same number beginning with 060... MTN call centre declines the number as invalid. I am realy GUTTED BY THIS . This is the MTN that took me to MBD attorneys for unclear internet statement which i am still in the battle till today. This gives me more reasons to be convinced that my previous internet billing with MTN IS highly disputable.
