MTN Did not inform me of outstanding debt

I just recieved I notification that after leaving SA for the last 18 months and having signed a debit order to "collect" the monies from the SA account, MTN did not do this for the past three months. In all those months I had sufficient balance to settle my account in full. I received some "half - assed" notification from a company called VVM on whom website I am suppose to register, but ONLY with an SA number which I do not have anymore - so I cannot do this. I have immediately settled the outstanding amount, very very upset if my credit rating has been ruined BY MTN!! for not notifying me they are not collecting my monies though "Direct collection" any more and I do not have any email adress to forward my proof of payment to. They had an email adress for me and just could have notified me. I demand to receive written proof of payment for the outstanding amount as well as confirmation that this has not in ANY WAY affected my credit rating. IF THIS HAS HAPPENED I DEMAND this be cleared straight away - as I have always been more than willing able to pay all my bills and cannot help if a creditor DOES NOT INFORM ME that their "direct collection" is not working properly.
