Phone got cut after PAYMENT ARRANGEMENT was made!!

I've got an Unlimited Contract with 8ta, and was unemployed for the past 3 months, and had my account in arrears.

I managed to find a new job and phoned up 8ta Customer Care to explain my situation. I requested a payment arrangement plan to restore my service. They SMS'd me a week later with a payment arrangement plan to pay 40% immediately, 30% end of September and 30% end of October. This, together with my normal monthly installment, would bring my account upto date by end of October.

I've agreed to the payment arrangement and paid the 40% outstanding immediately, and emailed the proof of payment to [Email Removed]

I phoned customer care on Friday to enquire if they have received the payment, and to get a date of when my service will be restored. they were unable to help me, as this was all up to the Billing department.

Saturday I noticed that my phone had no reception. Tried the sim in another phone, same thing.

I took the phone and sim in this morning to Telkom 8ta store at N1 City. The rep by the name of De Villiers helped me and told me the Sim was deactivated completely.

He phoned customer care and they told him I need to pay the full amount due.
