An Account That Was Written OFF

A few years back (More than 3 years) I had a problem with cell c my phone was it was a contract and the bad deb was written off now after all this time I get an sms saying I ow them R600 od rand after phoning them that transfers me to three different departments cut me off and then after phoning gave me a number to phone to sort it out not my job Guys I have a credit report there is no trace off cell c account on it any more i also have the old credit reports were it states bad dept written off!!!
