Try to canncel contract

I am trying to cancel a contract that was returned within 4 day due to it not working was given a ref no. saying it is cancelled but it was not and there is no 1 responsible for this and after about 15 calls to the centre. I have now been reported as a bad payer after /-10 years of never being late on 2 contracts with them. What bad service!!!
