Dodgy business practices

A few months ago I called the Cell C call centre wanting to have a new number on an existing contract and use my old 082 number on prepaid. The consultant informed me that the cost implications for the process was only R250 and told me to go to the nearest Cell C store. On the 5th of August at about 12:50 I walked into the Cell C walk-in store at Carlswald Lifestyle Center and explained to them what I wanted. The gentleman said he was going to speak to his manager for clarity and asked me to wait. Upon his return, I was surprise to hear that I had to pay R500, I then explained to him that the call centre said it only costs R250. Cell C are too quick to accept you as a customer and once you are stuck in a contract, they just wanna milk money out of you. The thing is I was not intending to leave their network but just wanted the 082 number as prepaid and keep the contract with a different number that's all. Cell C must refrain from dodgy business practices, and treat their customers properly. This is totally unacceptable. A simple number change and making my 082 number available for prepaid will never hurt their business. Totally Disgusted custome
