International Roaming didn't work

Before going overseas I filled out a International Roaming form and emailed it 5 days before departure to 8ta. I realise this is not the 7 working days they require and thus was concerned and phoned the call centre to find out if it was activated on 04/07/13. I was told by the consltant over the phone that my international roaming had in fact been activated and assured me it would work when I got overseas. I needed my phone for work purposes as urgent actioned items were being done in my absense and I needed to approve them.

When I got to the UK I had no signal or service at all and was stuck without communication. For the two weeks I was there I had no contact with my work and as a result led to important timelines being drasticaly shifted and output being delayed which meant deadlines were missed.

As I was assured my the call agent that I had nothing to worry anout before I left and was assured that I would be able to contact work, this is unacceptable and I am completely dissapointed in 8ta and their service.

Not to mention the fact that they need 7 working days to activate international roaming when I know that MTN can activate international roaming instantly upon request!
