I have been waiting for my new handset for more than 2 weeks after upgrading my contract by phone on the Virgin Mobile "123" help line. After numerous calls to the helpline, I eventually received a call back from one of the agents to say the phone is with the couriers and would be delivered the following Monday (8 July). It didn't arrive.

I called the helpline again, to be told the new phone would arrive "definitely by the end of the week". Needless to say, it did not arrive.

It is now Monday the following week, and I'm really not impressed!

To make matters worse, half the times I call the Virgin helpline, I get put on hold and after a while the line goes dead!! Sometimes when I phone, I hear raucous laughter in the background. What are these guys smoking at the call centre?

I've made over 20 calls to the Virgin helpline in the past 2 weeks - each time I get a different agent who promises to sort the problem out, yet there is no solution in sight. The agents seem helpful enough, but still nothing gets done.

What am I supposed to do next? I have already written to Richard Branson about this, but I understand he's a busy guy, so I don't really expect to hear from him.
