Ordered Telkom ADSl
3 different technicians could not install the line and a note was left saying I should get an electrician to dig up paving and get pipes run for their installation. Did this at my cost. Later they sent another technician. When I got home that evening there was no paperwork or notification that the line was active. Also no username and password for the ADSL line and the Installation seemed incomplete as the phone box was loose with 3 m slack
2 Months later I get a bill via text saying that my account is R1, 427.80 in arrears. Queried it they told me that this amount was for my ADSL Line rental plus installation. Seems unfair that they charge me for installation if I had to pay and adsl if I was unable to use it as I had no username & password
Went to a Telkom Direct office was told to lodge an objection. Then spoke to a lady in accounts that gave me attitude and told me that I was liable. Then asked to close my account which I never even knew was active they said it will take 30 days to cancel and I'm guessing I will have to pay another installment
Basically wasted R6000 without using 1 mb data
