Increasing prices without notice

Anyone else receive a letter emailed along with their MTN statement today, 9th July, advising of the increased costs of CLI and Itemised Billing, effective 1 July?

This is wrong on so many levels - a contract is in place and valid until 20th September (heaven help me should I want to change package or cancel before that) and notice of a change is exactly that - notice given in advance, not 9 days after the fact!

Happily, with the contract end in sight, I have pleasure in finally making the move, after 14 years of MTN, to an alternative service provider. My monthly average spend with MTN is over R1 900.00, so they have lost a longstanding and high spending customer.
