I took out a new contract (Straight up 200) with Cell C and Vitality Mobile. My phone was delivered last Monday and my number was ported on Tuesday. Ever since then I've not been able to make any calls as Cell C put me on prepaid by mistake. I have been phoning the customer care every day since, more than once a day and the problem has still not been sorted out. I have also spoken to various supervisors and have had a reference number since Wednesday but I still can't make calls. I'm so frustrated I don't know what else to do. I tried to cancel the contract on Saturday but the agent said she will get back to me or arrange for collection by Tuesday (cancelling the contract) but nothing has happened. I spoke to someone else today again who promised me a call back by 5pm and its 5.30 now. Still waiting. I've never seen such bad service. If its so difficult to fix their own mistake, can't they just let me know what's happening, or give me some airtime to phone in the meantime? I suggested that they give me some airtime but nobody is authorised to do that and in the meantime I'm the one who has to suffer because of their stupid mistake. I'm so over Cell C. Spreading the word...
