Dewald, the Blackberry specialist at MTN went out of his way to assist me with what could have been a frustrating experience with MTN's onerous assessment/insurance process. My new Z10 kept on powering off despite showing a charged battery, and Dewald took the time to thoroughly check the phone for a software issue. I suspected a faulty battery. MTN's assessment process dictates you book in the handset for 5 to 7 days, and a loan phone (NOT a BB Z10!!!) will be given. On asking to buy a new battery, I was told they have no stock (what, the supplier not having stock???). And not getting a BB loan phone is HUGELY disruptive. But Dewald saw my distress and went out his way to try and find a solution for me. He tried swapping our batteries, and this seemed to do the trick - my battery now charges as normal and thanks to Dewald I am not only a VERY happy BlackBerry client but a very satisfied MTN customer too. MTN Canal Walk, I hope you appreciate the asset you have in Dewald. He really gives exceptional client service & proves that it's the individuals in a company that create raving fans or leave customers disappointed and looking for an alternative. Tks Dewald.
