Cell C
Selling air time after simcard has been deactivate

Telecommunications

On Friday I bought airtime for my cell c phone which has not been in used for a reasonable time. I received a sms informing me of the validity of the transaction and I even received bonus minutes. I used the phone on the Saturday and Sunday for two short calls. On Monday service was not available. Client service was contacted by a cell c outlet and the reaction ridiculous. I was informed that the simcard has been deactivated. The question is, if the card has been deactivaled WHY allow me to charge airtime, WHY allow me two made calls and then all of a sudden cancel the service. I was informed that I wont be able to use the airtime left (a considerable time). I think this is unethical behaviour and exploiting of customers. It is of no use to spend money on expensive marketing campaigns and then to deliver this type of service.
