Contract migrated to Pre-Paid

I had a contract with MTN and according to my knowledge the contract expired on the 01 May 2013. Then I called the call centre end of April 2013 asking them to migrate my contract to Pre-paid and I was adviced I need to contact them on the 28 May 2013 which I did. And no one did tell me that my contract will still be deducted untill end of July whcih I fail to understand why as the contract is finished and they have already migrated my contract to pre-paid. Why the consultants didn't tell me as I called them twice and it was today when I quwery why the debit order went through. Is then that the person I spoke to told me they will debit my account untill July.
I just need my refund from MTN as I was not told when I called them in April and mid May. I find it not fair at all.
