Disappearing airtime!

I upgraded my blackberry to a samsung s3 mini on 22 April. I then was overseas for nearly 3 weeks, with my phone AT HOME and switched off. When I returned, I discovered that I had zero airtime. (My airtime gets updated on the 20th of the month, so it's not possible that it was used up) I went into MTN Pinelands, and spoke to someone on the phone (I wasn't told who or what number had been dialled!) who said she would put in a billing query and I should check my phone in 48hrs. I was not given a name or reference #. Needless to say, there was no change after 3 days. So I went back and spoke to someone else (808) who gave me a ref number and said to check in 2-24hrs. Well again nothing changed, so I called 808 last week Sunday and was told there was nothing they could do until the result of the query was established.

This is appalling customer service. I have now received a bill for over R700, when my monthly one is normally around R220... I have apparently got over R300 of "packet switched data" charges - PLEASE can someone explain what is going on in this company, as the "customer service" number is useless. I will demand to be reimbursed my outstanding airtime.
