Vodacom
Airtime gone in minutes

Bought my son phone, and put up R55 Airtime, we were still looking at functionality, when all the airtime just pooof gone. Loaded another R5 to test and lo and behold within minutes gone.
I am baffled. Can someone at Vodacom maybe explain to me how this happens? (I am with other service provider so don't know Vodacom's procedures)
