Contract paid in full, handed over for recovery

Got a sms today to inform me that my account has been handed over to Saya recoveries. This after my contract was paid upfront /- 6 years ago.
During 2011 I got a similar sms informing me I owe them money for a club card. Which I paid reluctantly.
How is this possible???
