Cancelation of gym membership

I has a gym membership with Slater gym and in 2012 i requested the membership to be cancelled as i was moving to Soweto and i was not going to use their service anymore. So spoke to the manager of the company his name is Braam as to what i need to do to cancel my member. I was requested to write a letter of which i did before i left. So i was under the impression that this membership has been cancelled. And all of a sudden i received a call and an email from Lelani Nagel advising me that i still own. I told her that this membership i called in 2012 when i left the Vall. i send her emails requesting cancellation and no response was received from her and now i have been handed over for this account that i am not planing to pay because i requested cancellation in 2013. i will not pay for something or a facility that i am not using. i want this sorted out immediately as its going to ruin my credit record because someone didn't do their jo
