Still paying even though contract cancelled

This is beyond ridiculous. How can a place still deduct money from your bank account even after you've cancelled your contract months ago? Not just that, they have deducted almost three times my membership fee in the two months since I've cancelled. So not only am I still paying for my gym membership, but I'm paying almost three times as much for it, but I can't use the gym facilities as my contract is cancelled. So what am I paying for then?

The worst part is that they don't even know why money is being deducted. I spoke to the manager who assured me he would sort it out, and ever since then he as been MIA.

I assumed there would be a cancellation fee, but according to the CPA they can't charge me more than 10% of the amount I would have owed if I continued the contract. So, did they decide to charge me 100% of the money still owed plus 10%?
