Over 800 for cancelling my vitality

I have cancel my vitality because I move to a play where virgin active is far, but now they are saying I have to pay over 800 for cancelling my vitality, that's totally unacceptable, when I join i paid over 800 joining fee and a monthly fee of R70, why must one pay when cancelling? Why don't they say since you cancelling we will refund you back your joining fee??? when I join there was an advert saying you get a bag if you join, but @ centurion I was told that the bags are finished and I will get it in a month time but it was never given to me, that's shows poor service, now i relocated to Midrand and I don't even know where it is that's why i cancel my vitality :-(.
