It must have been July 2013 when I walked into a planet fitness in Cape Town CBD. Now I have always been a virgin active member, and took my time to walk into planet fitness as my colleague was telling me how great it is. so we took a walk at lunch time to see what it was like. a sales person approached us and showed us around. I told him I might be interested, and filled out a small card with my details as one day someday perhaps I might consider being a member, but I did not sign any contract as I was not sure whether I wanted to use planet fitness as my gym. the sales person that took my details later phoned me asking for my banking details, which I gave, and added on the conversation that he must not deduct any money as I am not yet ready to be a member and that I am giving him my details as a just in case I do become a member. a month later, a debit order come out of my account of R300 and some change. I emailed planet fitness, back and forth about the deduction, which they insist I go to the police for. I felt highly abused by planet fitness to even suggest I go fix their mistake. lo and behold, 2 months that followed they continued deduction the gym fees from my account
