I took out a contract with Planet Fitness in 2010. In May 2011, i had major spine surgery and was advised by my doctor that i will not be able to lift any heavy objects for a long time. I went to the roodepoort branch and handed them my medical documents and a note from my doctor stating that i cannot gym any more. The lady at the counter took all my information and documents and said she will contact me again. A few months later, i received a phone call from someone at the gym to find out how my exercising was going. I explained to him that i cannot attend anymore and gave him the history. He said he will come back to me. I never heard from them again. Until this morning, when i got a call to say that i owe PLanet Fitness over R2k because i did not pay them. They have a debit order going that was never cancelled. They didn't even call me to inform me that no funds were received. Not sure who's running things there, but i'd like to tell you to your face that you are an and you run business with no processes. You will not get a cent out of me simply because you did not inform me that funds were not received and handed me over instead!
