I cancelled my membership with Planet Fitness through Vitality 30 days prior to my end of contract date (30 June) and called the gym in Rivonia, the person there confirmed that calling Vitality was correct, took the reference number I obtained for them. I called back at the end of June to confirm again all was in order, the consultant again took my reference number and asked I email to [Email Removed] which I did. Not debit order was taken on the 01 July and no contact was had with Planet Fitness. I thus assumed the cancellation in order. Then on the 26th July R445 was taken off my account (my original membership fee was R89pm) and again R445 on 01 August. Contact made with the gym gave me no valid reason for the increase in fees or how they were going to deal with their error regarding the cancellation. Emails go unanswered and following numerous requests for written (emailed) confirmation of my cancellation and a refund, I have still not had the requested feedback. Absolutely shocking service and very frustrated with Planet Fitness.
