I joined Virgin Active in Mid July 2013 on the Vitality Option, upon joining I paid a portion of the fee i.e. R365 and the balance of R500.00 was to be debited from my bank account on the first day of the month together with my monthly membership fee. I visited the club on 01 August and Rachel told me that my account was in arrears due to the non-payment of the R500.00 balance. I explained to her that the amount was to be debited from my bank account together with the membership fee and she said that it is impossible for that to happen as I need to pay the vitality portion cash. I continued to explain that the consultant who assisted with the application said that would be the case and in her word she said "Well that person is MAD". I went out the club to get my wallet and I paid that R500.00 that day, to my surprise on 02 August that amount was debited from my bank account!!! I am so disappointed in her and in virgin active as this means that I have paid a total of R1500 in one month just to join the gym, when I reported this matter on 05 August she again took it lightly and said "It doesn't matter"! I don't have money lying around to pay for her incompetence! I WANT MY MONEY
