Zone fitness never gave such hassles

I have notified virgin active that i have been retrenched and unemployed since jan this year.when i went to the gym i was told i must contact the hotline number to notify them.its 7 months later, i havent started working but received a letter stating legal action will be taken to get their money.i havent even gone to gym all year but a married unemployed man with kids must pay GYM FEES? My, when i just stopped going to gym in 2007 at zone fitness i was never asked for outstanding fees. Once im on my feet il cancel this rubbish pathetic gym contract and go to zone fitness in promenade.if i wanna swim i can go to the beach. In the letter of demand im told i can go pay at my local gym, but when i needed to notify virgin active that i was unemployed they told me to basically go home and call them from home? that's pathetic.cant help me at the gym with notifying them on the hotline but can receive outstanding money there? lol what a joke
