Im Disgusted by this company

I signed up with virgin active and I was really looking forward to be a member, but because of personal problems I could not go to the gym, not even once and never did they bother to ask me why, which I can understand because they all about taking people's money but cannot show interest peoples well-being like who pays the whole year and not attend not even once but because you are a money making business I'm not surprised. Now this is my problem I missed two payments and I lost my phone and according to Donald Ngwanya from MDB virgin active sent me letters which I did not receive informing me that I'll be handed over, last month a got a call from MDB from my partners phone telling me that I've been handed over and I need to pay them. When I signed up with them I provided my partners number if MBD used it why couldn't they use it. I did not pay that amount until another call came in saying the amount is now R750 meaning they have add R200 interest wow. Well because have never signed with MBD I went to virgin active and they told me to pay R575 which I did and now MBD tells me I owe the R300 like I really don't understand this. If im handed over does this mean I owe virgin active
