Cancellation of contract not being honored

On 11/12/2012 I informed Planet Fitness (PF) via email of my intent to cancel my contract after the 12 month expire date of 27/01/2013.
On 19/12/2012 I forwarded my original email send on 11/12/2012 to PF stating that I have received no response. I received back a generic mail that provided me with a link to the PF website where I again filled in a contact form of my attention to cancel my contract.
On 18/01/2013 after receiving my monthly statement via email and I informed them that my contract has been canceled.
In February I visited PF and was helped by Thabiso Molepa and filled in their forms to cancel the debit order on my account.
The last debit order went of 2013-03-01.
On 10/04/2013 I visited PF presenting my portfolio of evidence to one of the managers (Ryno).
On 03/05/2013 I hand delivered a Letter of Demand to PF giving them 14 days to pay the money they owe me, they refused to sign my copy.
On 03/05/2013 I visited Lyttelton Police station to sign an Affidavit stating that I delivered a Letter of Demand to PF which they accepted but refused to sign my copy.
Next I will be taking PF to The Small Claims Court if they do not pay the money they owe me.
