Account opened in my name! I have to pay!

IN 1997 someone opened an account in my name! I was only 18years old! I heard about it 3years a go, after calls from attorneys threatening me with repossession, I went to Edgars in waterfall mall Rustenburg to ask what I can do but they only said; Eish! you have to pay! So, in fear I made 2 or 3 payments of R20 when visiting my mom in Vanderbijlpark the manager in Vaal mall Edgars told me about a disputed acc. and I opened one and made an affidavid stating why I started paying the account but the Head Office said I made payments now I am liable! The best part is that now after more then 13 year I pay an account that was plus minus R800 and is now more than R4000! As far as I know the law states that you cant make a client pay more then the twice the original amount??? but no one in Edgars listens... I also stated that I will pay R20 a month but they keep making my monthly payment R59 so my debt becomes more and more each month! I heard about hello peter yesterday and that's why I am sending the complaint now!
