Good Service negated by indifferenc & BAD service

On 23/03/13 after much searching we purchased a couch from Furniture City (Woodmead). We had great service when we paid in full for it and even better service when the couch was delivered a day earlier than expected. Joy turned to dismay when I noticed that there was one back cushion missing. I highlighted this fact on the copy of the delivery note I had signed on receipt of the goods. This having been ignored, I contacted the agent and her boss at the shop several times- no solution. Since 8/04/13 I have phoned the warehouse SEVERAL times only to be fobbed off and made to chase my tail. AGAIN, today I was promised a return phone call when I asked for my money back in exchange for the couch back. Needless to say, it is now past 10.00pm and I am STILL waiting for that phone call. In these days of recession, I should imagine, customers are a scarce commodity and patient ones even more rare! What do I need to do to resolve this issue? The complaint number we were eventually given today (after 4 &1/2 weeks) is 178697
