Ladies Sorento Bike - Faulty back wheel and gears

I recently bought a "Mountain Bike" from Mr Price Sport. I needed it for a mountain bike ride and I have an account there so I bought it for convenience. I asked the guy that helped me if he thought that it would be ok for such an event and he said yes. I rode it once before the ride and it was a bit difficult to ride, the gears were very difficult and confusing. The day of the ride, I started the course. I couldnt even get over a bump because the gears would not go low enough and would not click into a low gear. The back wheel started to wobble while riding on a flat. (This was already assembled in the box) My boyfriend gave me his bike to use and he had to run the entire trail with the bike in hand as it was actually NOT rideable. I have sent a complaint to Mr Price Sport, and received their generic "we'll get back to you within 24 hours", 24 hours has gone by... I am so upset because its a pretty bike and it seemed worth the money. But it cannot be considered a mountain bike, it cannot get over a hill let alone a mountain! I'd love some response from Mr Price. If they would give me a refund or attempt to fix the faulty wheel and gears then perhaps I wouldnt feel so cheated!
