I purchased a Camp Master Family Cabin 500 tent from Makro in Montague Gardens in December on special. Included in the purchase was a warranty if the tent was damaged. After using the tent once, it had a small issue with the stitching, I took the tent to Makro Cape Gate for them to repair it. After 5 weeks Makro told me they cannot fix the tent and issued me with a credit note to the value of what i paid for it at the time, and could not replace the tent or order stock from the supplier. I am highly peeved off as i have not only purchased the tent, but I have also purchased side panels which only fit on the family cabin 500. These side panels cost R300 and are now useless without the tent. I find this highly unsatisfactory service especially since i enjoyed the tent, and requested the tent to be repaired as per agreement in their warranty. I was also denied the opportunity to speak to the manager of the store when I followed up on the matter.
