Ice cream machine doesn't work

I purchased an ice cream maker which arrived last week and its a complete waste of money it does NOT make ice cream. I followed instructions it said let the canister freeze for 24 hrs which I did and then tried making ice cream.. Nothing happened I had the same liquid at the end as I initially put in. I though perhaps I hadn't frozen the canister long enough. So I left it in the freezer for a week, chilled my ice cream mix in fridge before placing in the canister (which I checked was frozen solid) and attempted again - same result, the mixture just turns in the machine and doesn't freeze. I want my money back, what a complete waste of R500 for a stupid machine that does NOT work as promised
